My name is Stefanie Coesens, and I am honored and blessed to be a part of the Immaculate Conception Catholic School family. Catholic education has played an important role throughout my life, and I am grateful for the opportunity to now serve and lead a Catholic school community.
My own Catholic education began at St. Florian Catholic School in Hamtramck, where the foundation of faith, family, and education helped shape the person and educator I am today. I continued my educational journey at Oakland University, earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.
I began my career in Catholic education as a teacher at St. Joseph Catholic School in Lake Orion. My first administrative leadership role was at St. Lawrence Catholic School, serving as the Director of Early Childhood. As my passion for Catholic school leadership continued to grow, I pursued and earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University.
Throughout my journey, I have continued to place my trust in the Lord and His plan for me. I truly believe it was through His guidance that I was led to Immaculate Conception and given the opportunity to serve as your principal.
My Vision for IC
My vision for Immaculate Conception is one of continued growth, strong partnerships, academic excellence, and a deep love for Jesus Christ. I believe our school should be a place where students are challenged academically, supported personally, and strengthened spiritually.
Together with our teachers, staff, families, parish, and community, I look forward to creating an environment where our students grow in their faith, discover their God-given gifts, and learn what it means to follow Jesus.
