The ICS science fair is open to grades 6-8 Please see the links below.

Here is some  information that should be helpful For the Science Fair.

2008 ICS  SCIENCE FAIR

    1. The experiment must have a –­

 

TITLE      A brief, descriptive title, 40 letters or less, should be used.

 

HYPOTHESIS        What did I think would happen?

METHOD        What did I do (what steps did I take) to answer the question?

 

DATA      Have ready whatever you used to keep records of what you were studying (for example: charts, pencil marks).

 

CONCLUSION     What did happen? What did you learn? If you had to do this over, what would you change? (This should be demonstrated by a graph).

2. The student must be able to speak on the experiment. ( 3  minutes).

 

3. The display board (3 panels) --­Click for full size photo 

-can be made from cardboard ---can be bought in a store

(art illustration board or mat board - ask the store to cut it for you)

  

4. TABLE SPACE IS LIMITED. The project cannot exceed a space of 15" X 36" on a table. The committee reserves the right to disqualify projects that exceed space limitations. Height is optional.
